When I engage or disengage the clutch, it seem that something is binding. It also makes a creaking noise like something is dry. It doesn't do it when cold, only after driving for 1/2 hour. The pivot ball, arm, throwout, pilot bearing and linkage are all new and everything was greased per the instructions that came with the clutch. It's not the linkage since it didn't do it when I disconected the link going to the arm. Any ideas? It only has 500 miles on it.
I have the same problem, pretty smooth when cold and most of the time it feels like it is binding when warm/hot. I am not sure if it is in the linkage, which is pretty worn at most of the pivot points, or at the pressure plate fingers. I put in an adj pivot stud which seems to help but still get some of the binding feeling. I am debating on whether to replace all the worn pivot points or switch to a hyd assembly.

Re: Another Centerforce clutch ? (Duke94)
 Creeping/slipping continued after replacing my stock clutch. Then had clutch pedal pin failure and found operating rods worn/grooved and crossbar (z-bar) holes elongated.
Clutch operating rods not expensive or hard to replace. But that pedal assembly was a lot of work. Requires removing steerng column.
I konw it's not the linkage since it's all new and when I disconnect it from the fork, it's smooth as silk. Gotta be the fork or pivo5t (which also are new). It looks like I'll be pulling the transmission again.
Sometimes the new style self centering throw out bearings can bind up on the tranny snout. I had it happen when I put in my centerforce clutch . It was hard to find what was binding . I had the tranny out over 5 times and changed everything. The top of my tranny snout had slight flat spots . I bought a new tranny snout at the Chevy dealer for under ten bucks. I also bought an old style loose throwout bearing
Don't mean any insult by this but is the clutch in the right way. I put in a centerforce dual friction in my 69 with no issues on clutch alignment or any binding. The only think I had to do was make my adjustment rod longer since the fork was slighly bent, due to age and use (common)
I have heard of perfomance clutches going in backwards and causing a binding problem.
Worst part was the 500 mile, no get on it break in period.

Only thing you could put in backwards would be the disk but I doubt you could tighten the pressure plate bolts down. Guess you could put the throw out bearing in backwards but that would not account for the difference from cold to hot being a factor.
Last night I went for a ride and was pleased at how smooth my clutch was when I left. :)
By the end of the ride I was :cuss at how much it was grinding. :mad
This is def a heat related issue but I am not sure exactly where. It may be the throw out bearing shaft expending or the the throw out bearing grinding on the pp fingers when hot. In the past I unhooked the linkage at the fork after driving and having it grind but the linkage was smooth. Now unhooking my not allow a true test of the linkage since it is under pressure when the fork is attached. It may also be that if the shaft is expanding and causing friction through the rest of the linkage and causing the grinding noise. We should get together and check them out, I could use someone pressing on the clutch while I try to identify where the binding and grinding noise is coming from that I could hear it last night.
