DIY Wheel Alignment...HELP!

DIY Wheel Alignment...HELP!
I'm gonna have a go at do-it-yourself wheel alignment on my '79 because:
A. it steers like a yacht.. even after a complete front end re-build
B. the last alignment shop i took it to said it was "ok"... it clearly isn't!
So.... has anyone done this themselves recently?... can you offer any tips or did you come up against any particular problems?
I've downloaded the 'Four Wheel Alignment for Vettes' article by Chris Teague, that i'm gonna follow... but can anyone recomend any other articles that they've come across that they found helpful?
.... i have REALLY gotta get this right... i stopped driving the car because the steering was pissing me off so bad, and it ended up staying off the road for almost 2 years!!!! .... now i've finally got it back on the road i'm determined to make it steer like i think (hope!) it should! :chevy
...any practical advice or anyones experiences with alignment MOST welcome :cheers:
