Default Performer Series

Hi,

I'm new to this forum so i'm sorry if this topic has already been brought up

I'm driving a 77 with the Performer RPM series
Intake
Heads
Carb
Cam
air cond has been removed
True duel only 1 1/2" stainless the exhaust was put on before the mods
Dynomax mufflers
Headman Headers (which in my opinion are junk) the jetcoating fell off within a month and the bolt clearance wont even let you put a lock washer on half of them.
(sorry small rant just ot done replacing another gasket)

What i'm wondering is if anyone has put this package up on a dyno, The advertisments had promised 425hp but I've been aprehensive to claim that without proof. After I put the mods in she still didn't perform all that well due to a horrible gear (3:08). That problem will be fixed today 3:70 :reddevil

Thanks for any help on this,

Mike

It will probably put out close to that at 6000 RPM. Horsepower output is a graduated thing. Low end torque is where it's at. :D

I hope you meant 2 1/2 " duals, and you will most likely need a 2500-3000 rpm converter for any kind of sizzle off the line. Torue is what you need for the street, and to be honest, the RPM package doesn't have much of that.

nope only 1 1/2" =( the system was put in before any mods
the shop convinced me that 2 1/2" would be too much for the 160-175hp stock motor.

so now i'm stuck with a 3 season old stainless system that still looks perfect, but is pretty much useless to me, and the dynomax mufflers just don't have the sound i'm looking for. ...have I mentioned I hate the headers too sigh

My plan is to put sidepipes on her soon =)

1 1/2" exhaust for a 350  I think that'd be fine on some smog dinosaur that would make 150 hp...but for 400 plus, that's going to be a wicked bottleneck. I'd get your sidepipes :p:
