Speedo is off
My Speedo is off about 7mph.. My only tests have been those unmaned speed trailers the cops leave on the side of the road. At 42mph on my speedo the machine registers 35mph and flashes like hell.. (30 mile speed zone..) The question is if it's off 7mph at 35mph will it be consistantly off across the board.. I'd be reading 67mph when I'm actually doing 60mph?? I know I can get a replacement gear from zip but wondering if it's going to help. I don't want to test it against the unmaned trailer cause just my luck the cop will be sitting a few yards past the thing.. I've already gotten a ticket in this area with my Suburban.. Hate when that happens.. Thanks for the help!

I believe it's a percentage type thing. You're off 20% at 35 MPH, so When you're really going 60 the speedometer would read 72 MPH, assuming that the radar trailer is calibrated right.
