I have poly rear strut bushing and I know the advantages but .... How do you keep the eccentric cam tight without the serrations? I seem to slowly lose the camber setting. The serreaions on the original inner sleeve bite on the bracket and the outer is pressed into the strut. The rubber twists on the originals but with ploy bushings they must move inside as the suspension moves. so tightening is difficult.
I just have the VBP adjustable strut rods. They simply bolt in the bracket.
If i understand, the sleeve in your poly bushings is flat = so it slips slowly.
My best idea would be to try and get a serrated lock washer (inner) that can
fit in between the sleeve and bracket. If a lock washer won't fit - maybe you
could make some slight notches in the sleeve end with a dremel tool cutoff wheel.
Sorry - but those are the best of my ideas - besides tossing some $ at a set of adjustables.

With stock rubber bushings, the ruuber twists while both inner and outer sleeves are locked. Poly bushings must turn in order to work at all. This happens with the front poly bushins too. Control arm bolts actually can fall out. Several posts on the forum about that. I like poly bushing but they aren;t without a few problems... Like staying tight. :mad
I'm glad you said someting. I never read any posts on the control arm bolts
working loose. I'm just starting to install a bunch of poly around the car.
But - arent the poly strut bushings a slip fit ? Aren't they allowed to rotate ?
I might be wrong, since I don't have 'em like yours.
Thanks for the tip on the front bushings !! :seeya
Yes. they do fit free. However... the inner sleeve isn't serreated so the through bolt just doesn't stay tight. The surface area on the end of the bushing is pretty small so the bolts tend to slowly slip..Front ones do the same thing.

Re: Poly strut bushings Question (bluevetteman)
Could you go to a aircraft style bolt with a cotter pinned castellated nut instead? That way it couldnt back off,yet could still rotate. My idea may not work,I havent yet gone poly but I will be soon.
