Torque Converter stall speed?
What is the stall speed for my stock torque converter in a TH400. If I upgrade to a 2400 stall, what differences will I notice? I am running a HE268h Comp Cam. They recommend I go with the 2400 stall.
Is this a good change to make?

Unfortunately, still 3:08. I will go with 3.7's some day.

A looser torque converter makes quite a difference. Just be aware that if your highway cruising RPM is lower than the stall on your converter you'll have some slippage taking place, which causes alot more heat. If so, I wouldn't run it w/o a quality trans cooler to keep temps down. Heat kills trannys. Good luck. :cheers:
