72 tires
i am running P225/70R15 tires on my vette now and they look large on the car. looking to buy new tires and i was wondering what is everybody else running and is there any rubbing?
1972 conv., both tops, 4 speed, 454

255/60 15's rear
and 245/60 15's in the front.

I am runnning 215/75R15 radials now. Not much different and an almost identical replacement size for the F70's

I alternate between Wide Oval F70 15's and 235/60/015 radials. Wide ovals ride terrible.

I just put 255/60's (Goodyear Eagle GTII) and they fit all around with no rubbing at all.

245 60 15 all the way around. The 255s rubbed slightly in the front.

Before I got my wheels I had 255s in the front as well.

245/60/15 B.F. Goodrich Radial TA all around. No rubbing what-so-ever. Look nice as well.

BTW.... 245 is the widest that will snug into the spare tire carrier.

No rubbing.....no problems....
