Default Big Block Header Recomendations

I've recently blown a hole in one of my existing headers on my 72 - 454. I'm looking to buy some new ones. Want ceramic coated. I looked at Hooker Super Comps but their way to expensive for my budget and I don't race this car. All I seem to be able to find is Hedman Hedders for around $400 (coated). Their two inch primary/three inch collector. Anyone else got any other recomendations. Appreciate any help I can get.

If you go to the Jet-Hot web site they sell Jet-Hot coated headers. As far as I know Jet-Hot is the only one that offers lifetime rust through waranty.

I couldn't find any specific info, but If you call I'm sure they can help.

if you want ceramic coated headers, go directly to jet-hot. hooker's own ceramic coating is very inferior and does not last much longer than paint. the last quote i received from jet-hot was about $625 US for super-comps! also, many do not recommend hedman, so our options are limited. i wish dyno-max would build a header for bb c3's

Kim72, I would highly recommend Sanderson Jet coated headers. I put a set on my 454 2 years ago and they still look great and no leaks. They make a very high quality product and yes they are made in the USA! I paid about $400 for mine. You can check them out on the web, and if you would like I can email a picture of my setup to you. The only problem I had is with my Merlin heads they are a 1 inch raised port style, it made the fit a little tight.

I have the Heddman 2" primary ceramic Husslers. I like them fine. No leaks, nice finish.
