Default Which belts to use?

Any preferred brand?

I have a goodyear A/C belt and it really doesn't seem to be cutting it.

Can you guys make any reccommendations? Anything that's worked well for you? (a part number and brand for a good A/C belt would be great!)

Thanks in advance.

I have had very good luck with Gates belts. If I knew the application I could probably come up with the number for you.

:iagree:
I was having trouble with my A/C belt. It was either vibrating like a guitar string if I left it loose, or it would roll over if I tightened it. I bought a Top Cog for it an haven't had any problems. It rides much lower in the pulleys too. I plan on replacing the other 2 with Top Cogs next time I have them off.

Sounds good. Where do you get the top cog belts?

And Big Fish- I was mostly looking for an A/C belt(small block), but since these reviews are good, I may just switch all of them for completeness' sake. :)

I got mine from Discount Auto Parts, which is part of Advanced or Parts America. The Top Cog is a Dayco belt model.

I used a 17560, I went a little shorter to get the adjustment right. I have no air pump and an R4 compressor.

Sorry, but I can't come up with that belt size right now. Seems like that is the only belt not listed in my AIM manual, even though it's routing and tensioning is covered in there. If my car wasn't at the body shop I would have just looked to see what was installed.

I haven't had any experience with the "Top Cog" belts, but sounds like people have had good luck with them as well. It's not a bad idea to change them all as long as you are at it.
