1969 Differential Casting Number
I found what I need to know re: my engine and transmission casting numbers and codes. What I can't find is information about my diff. It has the red "positrac fluid only" tag plus it has the casting number 3871875 at the top rear.
Also, does 3899621 on the bellhousing mean anything?

My 69 has a carrier casting number of 3899143. There is a casting date directly above the strut arm bracket on the left side. There should be some numbers stamped in the bottom of the carrier between the spring and the strut arm bracket. This code will give you the axle ratio and the date. Let me know the code and I will try to decipher it for you.
