Default Replace non-functioning clock with another gauge?

Since I now have a Cd player with built in clock, I would like to trash the non-functioning clock in my dash cluster.

What would be a cool gauge to replace it with? I think it would be awesome to have a G-tech or similar unit that could mount in the clock's place. However, no gauge I know of would fit or look right.

With the traditional line of gauges, I was thinking of either a vacuum or air/fuel ratio gauge. What are some other options?

I don't care about originality; I have no plans to ever sell the car. Even if I do, so much is non-original that this clock won't matter anyways.

I'd like to put a tranny fluid temp guage in mine, but would first have to convert to the later(somewhere in 80-82) style to make it "look right".

They have a guage pod that's meant for 5 true guages, as the radio had a built in clock then.

I put an Autometer air/fuel gauge in place of the clock.

I installed an air/fuel gauge in the spot for the clock because my stereo has a clock in it ! I filled the hole with a small switch that turns my flameball shifter **** on. I also used a double switch (yellow) below the radio to switch back and forth between 2 oxygen sensors -- to keep tabs on both sides of the motor . Rick :chevy

Factory option for those with a clock on the radio was an oil temp gage. Maybe you could find a factory gage (1980-82's had them).

I replaced my 71s clock with an oil temp gauge with sensor in the oil pan. I alos replaced the ammeter with a voltmeter.
Corvette Clocks by Roger silkscreened the faces to match the OE color of the other gauges.
