Re: HYDRATECH GROUP PURCHASE ! (Hydratech Braking)
tjl5709,
I have had the Hydroboost unit and the Steeroid rack and pinion steering in my 78 pace car for a couple of months now. I have over 2000 miles on the two and they work together just fine. There was no installation problems running the pressure lines or anything, it was just basic common sense.
Go ahead and get the Hydroboost unit. You won't regret it. It's the best investment you can make for your shark and your safety.
Re: HYDRATECH GROUP PURCHASE ! (Hydratech Braking)
Thanks guys for the follow-up.
I had to put my car hobby on hold for the past couple years seeking a grad degree, but I'm now seeking to get my life back in order.
Having found this site resently, I cannot compliment and thank everyone enough who contributed to the wealth of information I have been able to obtain for my shark.
Due to the success of the group purchase on the Pro-Touring.com forum, we have definitely acheived the minimum amount of orders needed to produce the group purchase pricing!
I'm also confident that a few people I have spoken with over the last few days that haven't made up their minds yet will no doubt end up placing an order at the last minute. Though only 9 are officially listed - let's go ahead and call it "good".
We are now taking group purchase orders! Feel free to call in your orders at (586) 427-6970 or (586) 531-2115.

Dave, I have edited the order placement deadline to an open status to accomodate our customers better - no rush, call in your order at your convenience. :flag
I posted my install update in another topic..... I removed the seat, but not the steering column... the clevis pin clip was a major *!@&!@ !!! :cuss
But otherwise it bolted right up... till I went to check hood clearence... Damn thing hits the hood on the master cylinder!
I'm going to mill a shim to go behind the baseplate, to angle this whole unit more to the level position, -vs- the sky bound attittude. I'll post some pics once I get it done.... :leaving:
thats odd my mc is in the same place as before
that pin was a pain in the butt t get back on
on my first try it flick off and went flying i spent forever looking for it pulled back the carpet and looked and looked but finely gave up and decided to get a new one while getting up it fell from who knows where and landed in the floor bord, figures.
