Monster Garage Got It Wrong!
Imagine that Monster Garage! They advertise that they are going to turn a '78 into a mud bog racer and even have sketches of a '78 on the wall. Then they convert a '73 and continually refer to it as a '78. To make matters worse, Dick Guldstrand is sitting right there, along with a gentleman from West Coast Corvette, and none of them say a word about the discrepancy. I do believe that in one or two places, '73 is mentioned, but that's certainly not the impression they leave.
Otherwise, it was too cool and we never miss Monster Garage!

I watched the show. All the sketches were of the pre-77 style car. Also I don't think they ever said "78" in the show. Most of the sketches were stylized and not exactly true to life.
I know that the lead-in's from the commercials all said 78, but in the show it was never called a 78.

Hi,,,,No matter what year they called it , they oughta be hung by their thumbs for what they turned that car into..............THEY RAPED IT, and they should be punished. The only saving grace is that it wasnt a convertible and a four speed, I wonder what the previous owner felt or if they even knew what was gonna happen to the car? :smash: Peace anyway,,,,,,,,,,, :seeya Craig

Nope, definitely said '78 many times and the sketches on the wall clearly showed the windowed fast back as oppoed to a tunnel back. I have it on the hard drive if you care to come over and check it out. (So. Cal.)

I agree with Moosie. This is the equivelent of going to the Louvre in Paris and taking an ice pick to the Mona Lisa. Anyone whou would do this to a Corvette has serious mental stabilty issues

When they were coming back from a commercial they were saying 78. I caught that. I wonder if Jesse would sell me that car so I could put it back the way it was????
