To recap from the Black Book:
1983 prototype production was already completed by December 1982 (so the '82 must have ended some time well before that).
The 1984 model was released in March 1983.

just goes to show if you ask often enough someone will eventually get tired of hearing it. :p:
i don't have an exact date for the end of production of the '82MY but the black book lists october as being the final month of production. doing a little calculations, it appears the factory was averaging ~2500 units a month. however, in october, there were only 975 units made. based on that, i figurel production of the c-3 was finished sometime around the second week for the change over to the c-4 pilot cars.
maybe someone else has the exact date. i know it's out there somewhere, but it's not in the blackbook.

By law, a vehicle's model year run cannot cross over two New Years. So if they started production of the '82s in the middle of 1981, they would have to stop production prior to January 1, 1983
