Some forum members(myself and others) have made comments about cross-fire injection, not trying to upset anyone, and in many cases joking about it....
But many times a few feathers got ruffled and totally uncalled for comments were made. As others have mentioned, there really isn't any need for things like that to happen.
Bottom line, many of us feel strongly about certain things, nothing wrong with that. But name calling and disrespect should be left out of the mix.

Well said .
Something to consider is Ganey never gave a date of when this happened . I do not believe it was yesterday and he is a no-typer as in not one to go into great detail. Growing up in the Lone Star State and the Great State of Oklahoma was mucho fun in the 60/s - 70/s and I am sure many of us here and across the US have some good stories to tell even though times have changed. Many of these stories are surpressed though because of risk of the need for a Fire Truck in the end . Forums and politicaly correct posts are a difficult balance. Always has been , always will be.
Ganey's a true Hotrodder that has done no harm but to share a story about an event that happened in his life.
What the hell happenend in this thread. TT, you should bring it down a notch. Everyone else here read it for the story it is. YOU think he was bragging about drinking and driving. Even when he pointed out that was not what he wrote, you STILL keep going.
If you have been hurt by a drunk driver before, put that in another thread and we will gladly discuss it. Until then, you need to step off that horse here because this is uncalled for.
I did a 720 at 60+mph. but that was on purpose  in a very large, very well lit, very well paved, very empty parking lot. and after that it was very smokey. :jester
doing that crap helps you learn how to control it when a real emergency comes up. flame me if you want, but knowing how to do that has saved my **** a few times. ive never driven after drinking, and never will. ive never had an accident and dont plan on it.
then suddenly the back came around fast spinning, caught it & around the other way spinning, caught it & straight ahead.
G/F thought I was showing off.
thats not a very good explanation. Did it spin in a straight line down the highway? ... Sorry but i don't think it is possible to "catch it" ie. recover from a spin at 100 mph once much less 2 times unless you are a professional race car driver.

YES.
Did it whether you believe it or not. Some have asked me for exp., one issue w/ that is that some won't believe them & evidently now pc posts. There is a topic I have thought of doing ... if I do, don't miss it ...
here's the deal, motor and cam by MountainMotor & Ganey Inc., I can add my vast knowledge of auto mech. but they'd just stick me behind a video camera for their own safety. 0 - 60 in 2 sec, 1/4 in eternity those 2 won't stop spinning.
btw for what it's worth my family was devastated by being hit by a drunk driver a number of years ago - I read the post and laughed, ask MM said Ganey is a true Hotrodder but also one highly intelligent sensible person who just happens to like to spin and 100 :D , film at 11
Nope spun my 84 vette on the freeway @ 80 or so, was late at night coming home from a City Council meeting in Agoura Hills (north of LA), some fekwad driving with his lights off came roaring down and onramp and nearly took my front fender off, I swerved hard (instinctive) but it immediately sent the car into a 360. I was able to recover two lanes over (fortunately it was late at night so there was little traffic) going the the correct direction. I stomped on the gas planning to catch up with the guy and put a 9mm cap in his head (gun was in the car) but calmed down after the adrenaline rush ended, and just said fek it and went home.
I've completed plenty intentional and unintentional 180's and 360's at stopsigns, stoplights, driveways, and parking lots. I've kicked the rear end WAY out at high speeds, but the only time I've spun the Vette at a high speed was when some guy made a left hand turn in front of me while I was doing around 60 mph. All I could do was turn enough to barely miss him, and it sent me spinning. Ended up doing a 180. Would've been a 360 (maybe a couple times) into oncoming traffic if a sign in the median hadn't nailed my door right where the crossmember above the rearend is kinking my frame in several places. :U Putting an 81' frame under the car now with all an all VBP suspension and rack and pinion. I guess some good came from it.
Never spun mine past 90 deg.(thank god). I did work with a guy who spun a 180 in his 911 Porsche on the 405 at 75 mph after hitting water on a curve. Where it spun on the freeway there was a concrete divider right next to the fast lane (you need to pay attention when you drive in that lane) The car was totaled (all 4 sides). He was ok though.
hey keith! isn't that kind of redundant? i lived in vancouver for 2 years and had to leave because of all the damn rain. brightest times of day are 6a.m. and 6p.m. because it's the only time the sun is below the clouds! yeah, you know what i'm talking about. the dalles is nice enough though. you don't get nearly the crappy weather we got but i don't know if it's worth it. not much to do in the dalles. still wouldn't mind coming back up that way for a visit now and then, mostly in blackberry season. yum!
Whew Ganey, ya had me worried, didn't sound like you at all.
I've lost the vette at Nelson's Ledges, coming down the back stretch at over 130+, slight bend, what a ride accross the grass...did a number of simultaneous 360's.......does that count?
