spark plug gap
I bought Rapid Fire plugs. I believe they are set at 35 for points. I have a Mallory electronic ignition. Should I set them at 45?

.045" is the norm for ignition boxes. However, does AC Delco not say leave it at .035" due to the design of the plug?
Try them at .035" and drive a 1000 miles and see what they look like and how the car runs. Then go to .045" and see how it compares.

:confused: the guy at O'Reily said to set them at 45 since I'm running electronic. Will a points plug run smaller, 35....electronic greater gap?

when i installed my jacobs ignition, they recommended starting at .02 over factory and going up in .005 increments until i got detonation and then backing off .005". right now i'm at .08" and too lazy to keep pulling and regapping. you might try a similar method.
