F'n Sidepipes...
Yesterday at the Hooters Cruise ... I burned my right leg on my sidepipes... This was the second time within a week that I burned myself on them... :mad :mad :mad .. Before that - it has been over 4 years that I burned myself on the sidepipes of my car...

I guess that the reason is that I don't drive my '68 as often as I used to... I drive the C5 too much...

I only burned myself 3 times.. and 2 of 3 times happened during the last 7 days.. I had 2 Vettes with Hooker Sidepipes for a total of over 4 years... and only burned myself 3 times...

It's funny, burns are a type of injury you never seem to get used to. Working in a kitchen I get a nasty burn at least once a month and they suck every time. At least cuts and bangs the pain fades within a few minutes, burns hurt for days.

I've never burned my legs on my side pipes. I'm always sure to step out of the car as far as possible :) . However I forgot to tell my girlfriend a while ago about the side pipes and they got her.

Go get a a cutting of an Aloe plant, cut it open (leaving the gue) and tape the Gue side over your burn and leave it there. this works like magic... I know you have those plants all over down there... :yesnod:
