Yesterday at the Hooters Cruise ... I burned my right leg on my sidepipes... This was the second time within a week that I burned myself on them... :mad :mad :mad .. Before that - it has been over 4 years that I burned myself on the sidepipes of my car...

I guess that the reason is that I don't drive my '68 as often as I used to... I drive the C5 too much...

It's funny, burns are a type of injury you never seem to get used to. Working in a kitchen I get a nasty burn at least once a month and they suck every time. At least cuts and bangs the pain fades within a few minutes, burns hurt for days.

It's not all that bad... It only hurts when something is touching it...

I've never burned my legs on my side pipes. I'm always sure to step out of the car as far as possible :) . However I forgot to tell my girlfriend a while ago about the side pipes and they got her.

Olivier,

Go get a a cutting of an Aloe plant, cut it open (leaving the gue) and tape the Gue side over your burn and leave it there. this works like magic... I know you have those plants all over down there... :yesnod:
