gas cap
there is a pic of a 69 vette in the vbp catalog with a race style gas lid the pic is on page 8 i would like to get one of these but have not seen them anywhere anyone have any ideas? :confused:

dave that looks great but i wonder if there is a way to keep from have the gap around the filler.
is it possible to connect it to the body and use a rubber filler tube?

I made a fiberglass filler for Len's unit to do away with the gap and the thumb recess area. He's been working on his big block build so I don't know yet how it fits. The desire was to make it "invisible" without glassing it into the deck. It can be installed with a minimal amount of flexible adhesive. Since I have no fear of glass work and have long since departed the point of no return on keeping mine original, :D mine will be glassed in.
To answer you question on using a hose or fill tube, yes it could be done. Accessing the clamps would be a little tough (not sure how that would be managed) but I'm sure with a little head scratching a solution would become obvious.
