Default Hot Legs

What's the deal with the vents BEHIND the kick panels ? Not the regular heater/ac vents, but the things that open and close interemittentlyand let in hot air. How can these be made to not open and roast the interior ?

There are two levers in your center counsel that open and close these vents via cables. The vents recieve air from the cowl and really blow air when you are hauling azz. If the levers don't open and close either the cable is broke or you need to adjust the cable. They should not get hot air at all or somethings wrong.

I don't have those levers. It's an a/c car...my 'other' C3, the '79 is too...that one is much worse than the 71.

I was hoping to see some pictures. Darn!

You might check out vettefixr's posts on solving the cabin heat problem by going through this opening. I fixed mine and it's like night and day. I'm even thinking about hooking up my heater core again.

Wow, I must be really lucky with my vents. I love them. I get great airflow at my feet at speed and its no hotter than the outside air. My seals inside must still be good.
