I used to have one on my Stealth. It depends a lot on the car as to whether or not it'll look good. I don't like the way they look on sharks at all, but my Stealth actually looked a lot better (meaner somehow) with a bra. On every C3 I've seen with a bra, they were all loose and flappy and looked like crap.
And they DON'T scratch the paint if you just clean them off every so often. Everytime I washed my car, which was about once every 2 months, I'd pull all 4 bras off (upper, lower, & headlights), whack the dirt out of them, and rinse them off. And after 9 years the paint beneath the bras looked a lot better than the rest of the car. It was flawless, unscratched and unfaded unlike the rest of the paint which was showing typical wear.
Mine came with a mini bra. I took it off because I think it looks worse than the cracked paint underneath. You can only see the cracks up close, the bra can be seen far away
When I bought my car it came with a bra but it wasnt installed at the time. The bra was practally new and in good shape. I never put it on. Its in the corner of the old shed covered with mold right now. Guess that shows how much I like it. Never even tried it on for size, and my nose is cracked to boot.
NO they DO NOT. NOT if you clean them periodically. It's only these people that leave them on for years at a time without ever clearing them out that have this problem. The best sections of paint on my old '93 Stealth were under the bra pieces. They didn't leave a mark on it.

:iagree: I ran them on my 95 Z and my 96 WS6. No paint damage. The piece of interstate I traveled every day was between a gravel pit in the suburbs and the main part of town. Those gravel trucks dropped sand and gravel from the time they loaded til they unloaded. Going down that 10 mile strip of Interstate was hell on nose paint. It would pit from the blown sand and chip from the gravel being thrown up by other vehicles. I didn't like the bra on mine when I bought it but it has grown on me.
I've never had one on any car. If you like the look, fine. I guess from a protection aspect, I put them in the same category as seat covers; why use a cover to protect something from looking bad if you're never going to see it anyway?
Now, one time that I wish I had one was on my first long trip with the Corvette to Carlisle (about 300 miles). After 600 miles of highway driving, I had paint chipped all over the nose  I think a bra would have worked well on that trip. Of course, my daily driving was all highway, so that goes back to the keeping it covered all of the time problem.
Now that it's a "pleasure" vehicle, If/When I get mine painted, I'll get a bra before taking it on it's first long highway trip :yesnod:
