Default Universal joints again??

I have seen this question asked several times and i guess it is mine turn now.

What are the better brands for alll the joints for high hp applications. I know that i need to avoid the greasable ones.

I'm going today to purchase them. :smash:

I had brute force but they failed early. actually i removed the d-shaft to get it balanced and then i inspected the brute force joints I was using. they already showed significant wear. i would strongly recomend taking the driveshaft to a profesional and have Spicer joints installed and have the shafts balanced. if they're out of balance its wont be much time before youll be replacing the joints again, no matter what quality joints you use. Before I had installed the brute force joints I removed the caps to check and found that 2 of the caps were missing bearings. The driveshaft shop told me that unless yur making 450hp or more you dont need solid joints. the yoke usually breaks first anyway. I have twisted tranny output shafts in two and blown rear ends and broken yokes all using greasable joints and never once broke a cross. u joint failure is usually a result of improper installation or imbalanced parts.

I'm using lakewoods . They're Spicers with a different heat treat and no zerk fitting. Summit, Jegs etc carry them.
