I actually had a guy in a C-5 give me the wave this morning! I had to wave first..but hey...it's something. I can't tell you how many times I have been give the "Windex Shine" by C-5 guys. I am not giving up..they will be assimilated.
CVT4ME - if San Antonio is anything like Austin there are so many C5's -your arm will be tied trying to get them all to wave back --- keep up the effort
I drove the 67 to work yesterday and on the way home this morning a C5 driver had his arm out waving like crazy. I was the one with my windows up and the A/C on. I gave him a wave from the side glass, hope he saw me.

Re: Holy Crap.... (SnoDrgn)
In the summer none of us wave. Even if we do, the other person can see through our dark tinted windows that are rolled up to keep out the 115 degree heat.
Now in the winter, when the tops are off / down, I see waves all the time - from all generations.
I have personally had about 60% of them wave, but then again, this is Texas. Where are we at with getting "the wave" added to the Corvette owner's manual?
A couple of weeks ago to escape another 100+ degree day I decided a run to Lake Tahoe was in order (75-80 degrees). It is about 70 miles from my place. I passed seven vettes on the trip and got three 1/2 waves.
The score by type:
c2s were 1 for 1
c3s were 0 for 2
c4s were *1/2 for 2 :p:
C5s were 2 for 2 :seeya
*Not sure if that was a wave. I know for sure it wasn't a California Salute so it counts for 1/2.
All in all I have had good experience with C5s and the wave.
With no ac my windows are always down. I usually rest my arm on the door sill. That way I just lift my hand to execute the wave. Ever stick yur hand out the window at 70mph? I did it once and alomst ripped my arm off at the shoulder by the wind.
