I was wonderin if neone knew if this was a custom body kit made or if its possible to buy it somewhere. If it is custom how much do u think it would cost to get made?

Re: sick body kit (trueplayer69)
Welcome to the forum.
That body kit was made by many different compaines in the mid / late 70's and into the '80s. It was a Can / Am or IMSA body style, after the race cars of the same time.
As far as to who would still have some old unused pieces, that may take some looking.
That picture is a VERY nice showing of the body kit installed correctly and with the body and paint work done very well.

:iagree: It's not the Ecklers TurboII kit like the one on the vanacor page, even though the paint scheme is the same. The Turbo II kit is very similar but the CANAM/IMSA body is even wider.
That car may be a Greenwood Corvette Daytona. If it is then No that kit is no longer available. However... Vanacor Corvette makes 2 kits very similar. there is a Turbo Wide Body kit and there is a Daytona Kit but it is not a wide body kit. They are the only one right know that i know of that makes a kit similar to it.
If your looking for the Can-Am kit, Legendary Fiberglass in Warrenton, PA carries the flares and the bumpers. The original Eckler's kit like I've got has the hatchback kit and the front spoiler (which aren't made any more !) Rick

Re: sick body kit (75stinger)
Unfortunatly that is the IMSA body kit, and is different from the Daytona. The Daytona seems to be the only available now.
I think the IMSA kit is MUCH better looking than the Daytona. The Daytona reminds me of "Corvette Summer" :U
EDIT: If you can pickup some old Hot Rod / Car Craft / Corvette magazines from the late 70's and early 80's the kits were advertised heavy then. You might find a kit in there ( I know I have seen them in the mags back then). With anyluck you may track down a company with the molds still.
Excellent , you have given me something I have been looking for since I got my Can Am 5 years ago, a supplier that still builds parts for the Can Am kit!!!!
Mine is the same kit but the car is a vert with hard top , built in smaller spoiler.
I think your Can Am is looking sensational - great work!
