Re: Yon got to check out this E-Bay Corvette (ddecart)
Is there a '77 in existence that's honestly worth nearly $30k?
Yes. In '77, exactly one Corvette was painted by the factory "Corvette Chartruese", a particularly heinous shade of green. I have not been able to find any information on it, but if it is in good condition it could certainly hit $30K for sheer rarity... if it still exists.
Re: Yon got to check out this E-Bay Corvette (Mr D.)
That engine looks pretty stock for 350 hp. Must be the rare 350 OHC conversion kit! :yesnod:  It is amazing how little people know about their cars.
Clearly he has misinterpreted the looks he is getting.

NADA $28,900?
Must be a typo or maybe it's that special overhead cam. :p:
Nope, it is that Ralley Sport Option. On the NADA site, it lists a Ralley Sport Option and that adds 25% to the value of the car. I would really like to know that is included in that option to add 25%

Value Explanations
Low Retail Value
This vehicle would be in mechanically functional condition, needing only minor reconditioning. The exterior paint, trim, and interior would show normal wear, needing only minor reconditioning. May also be a deteriorated restoration or a very poor amateur restoration. Most usable "as-is".
Note: This value does not represent a "parts car".
Average Retail Value
This vehicle would be in good condition overall. It could be an older restoration or a well-maintained original vehicle. Completely operable. The exterior paint, trim, and mechanics are presentable and serviceable inside and out. A "20-footer".
High Retail Value
This vehicle would be in excellent condition overall. It could be a completely restored or an extremely well maintained original vehicle showing very minimal wear. The exterior paint, trim, and mechanics are not in need of reconditioning. The interior would be in excellent condition. Note: This value does not represent a "100 Point" or "# 1" vehicle *.
* "100 Point" or "# 1" vehicle is not driven. It would generally be in a museum or transported in an enclosed trailer to concourse judging and car shows. This type of car would be stored in a climate-regulated facility.
Go Figure ?
BTW - I will sell my 76 for for NADA top price as well!

The Corvette Black Book lists no such option and I would think they know much more about Corvette RPO's than NADA. They could possibly be referring to FE7 Gymkhana suspension or maybe even D35 sport mirrors, but the latter would certainly not justify a 25% increase considering you can pick up a pair for about a hundred bucks. Aluminum wheels were also an option in '77, but this car is not so equipped.
