I plan on changing my carburetor soon so what is the best replacement carburetor to use on my 1978?? Ease of installation and reliability are major factors for me.
The new Edelbrocks (Thunder series) are supposed to be a great carb for the money. They require little (if any) tuning. If you are looking more for performance you could go with a Demon but there is a bit more to them than the Edelbrock.
Good question, I'm watching this thread. LOoking for a good replacement carb. I've been looking at the Holley Quadrajet replacement from Summit Racing , but I don't know ? I'm still watching/reading for the best replacement . Hopefully someone will assist on this subject. catch ya later & Aloha, Shawn, in down town Honolulu.
Get an Edelbrock Thunder Series AVS 650 carb. You bolt it on and forget about it. That's what I did and I'm sorry I didn't go with Edelbrocks 15 years ago.
