Am I crazy??????
Recently, my car was off the road for a month while I was fixing things for an out of town Vette meeting......I really like driving the Vette and I was looking forward to the weekend away, but even before I left, I could hardly wait to get back and rip the Vette apart again.....
Is this normal????? Do I have some sort of disease???? Am I crazy????

You do have some sort of disease - it's called "the corvette hobby". Part of it is driving your car, and part of it is working on your car. Hopefully you get to do some of both. :) And you probably are crazy! :lol: MJ

We all suffer with this. I can think of a million little things I could be doing to that car. It will never be done. :lol:

I find doing mods to be half the fun. I really enjoy fixing and upgrading things plus you can learn a lot about what is going on with your car if you tear into things once in while even if there is no problem. :cheers:

Working on the Vette is like therapy for me. I have a fairly stressful job with plenty of air travel. On these long trips I will usually bring along the latest Summit catalog to relax. Now thats crazy! :crazy:

I like working on the car (only if upgrading....hate general maintenance), but I REALLY enjoy driving it. My dad has the same disease you do though.

Totally normal. If you're not in the mode of repairing or upgrading, then you're in the mode of cleaning. Then it starts over. Must be in our DNA. :cheers:

You are not crazy. A lunatic, yes! But, not crazy. I have one vette in the garage that has not run in the last 8 months due to *take-apart-and-make-fast-alitis* and it didn't take 2 weeks for me to make the last one where it is undrivable until ZIP parts show up Friday. After that I will drive it for six months before I attack anything else.(Hint: I said that the first day and didn't make it two weeks).

Someone here in the forum described it well as
"walking the fine line between hobby and obsession".
It is a victimless crime though -if your kids are fed and the bills are paid. Someone else well-said, "Its only money, honey, but THIS is a Corvette!"
