Rear Spring Replacement!
My rear spring on my 72 vette has flattened out and needs replacement according to the vette Doctor. He suggests that I replace it with a fiber glass spring since my vette is a driver[not a show car] and will give a much smoother ride. Opinions?

A very popular upgrade. Saves weight and the later Vettes came with them anyway.. Just make sure you get the right one according to your driving habits.

I'm on the other side and like the steel springs. I have heard of several who had the springs and they broke-possible heat issues?Plus new gas shocks were needed with them.
The problem I had with new steel is the body height is bounced up 2" so I needed 8" bolts to adjust the body height.

I plan on trying the glass springs next spring, I have my original 7 leaf and a 9 leaf sitting in the garage. I like the 7 but my wife likes the 9 leaf - she has severe back problems. I also installed Bilsteins this summer, they are great - worth every penny whether used with glass or steel.
