Re: Cold Air intake - test results... (GrandSportC3)
I'm actually thinking in building a ram air setup.. However - it will be something completely different than anybody has ever seen :D :D :D
Maybe a pump hooked up to that brake pedal - furious pumping fed into a pressure tank, forced air released when accelerator pedal is pressed, the depressurization will also cool the air :jester
Re: Cold Air intake - test results... (79corvette)
I to am designing a ram air setup from the front. I will be using fiberglass for the duct work. Only concerned about picking up water.
just put some drainholes in the lowest part of the intake, i had ram air in my lightning and several guys had scoops and never had problems. of course my setup sat a little higher, as long as it's just rain and not a giant puddle gushing in, you should be fine

Damn!!! That's indeed very similar
However - that setup wouldn't have worked for me because it wouldn't clear the HEI ignition... It's setup for a high rise intake and the L-88 hood....but basically the same idea as mine...
