1969 427/390 distributor ?
I have a tach drive distributor that supposedly came with my 69 427/390 engine. Were the 390hp distributors single or dual point? This one has the number #114 stamped on the shaft body but I cannot find the casting numbers or date codes on it,anywhere.
Any input would be appreciated.

USAZR1, there should be an aluminum tag around the neck with the part number and the date code. There were three for the `69 427/390, 1111926 (single points type), 1111954 & 1111958 (both transistorized).

Either the tag has been removed or been painted over. Don't know where I got the idea these distributors were dual point.
Thanks for the info.

Dual points weren't used in '69. The distributor was either single point or transistorized. Both units perform equally well when properly set up with a correct curve.
