Airflow....
Well guys, I just bought an Auto Zone blower motor and fan assy as ONE unit from them and will report in a week or two about it's performance...
I even have the center deflectors out of the dash in the quest for more airflow, and YES I have done all the other check outs and such....
I have a suspicion the airflow will be better and the noise less, and that is one thing that concerns me...not at highway speed so much, but that constant whine of the blower, and the air sucking in the kick panels....

Yes, long since, and checked it again when I blocked off the outside air intake....so there is no longer any way for anything to be n there,....however I will check again, for sure....

All the simple tricks are done, what finally sealed the deal far as I"m concerned was a listen to my friend's '86 there, and it's a lot quieter than mine, on high speed max cool recirculate....so I"m hoping the fan change will also quiet the thing down, but if it's more airflow, maybe just reducing fan speed will quiet it down, and still be adequate....
