I'd be careful buying anything from this guy(showcars-bodyparts). A friend of mine bought a fiberglass hood for his Maveric about a year ago from those guys. Well, the guy told him it would be packaged well and all that good stuff. When he got it, it was hardly wrapped at all. It was in a cardboard box with almost no protection at all. You could see the hood through holes in the box. Anyway, both of the back corners were gone-chewed away. The top of the hood was TERRIBLE quality. You could tell that they hadn't started with a good clean mold. The hood had heavy differences in the finish. Back in the 70's Maverics could have been had with a "stinger" type hood. Well, that meant that it had little vents on the side and a huge black stripe outlined with a pinstripe. Whoever made the mold for the fiberglass hood that my friend got didn't strip the donor hood before they made the mold. In other words, the gel coat of the fiberglass hood had stripes in it from the steel hood that the mold was made from. I couldn't believe that anyone would sell-much less send- this "product" to a customer. This guys hood was worse than the junk I ordered from Vanacor's. By the way, the guy kept offering my friend promises of getting him another hood, but after a year-still nothing.
