Default Oil leak--Need advice

I've had a oil leak for a awhile now and can't seem to pinpoint it. After running the car I have several drips on the floor. Looking underneath I see oil dripping off the starter and bottom of fly wheel cover. Checked around valve covers-- all dry. After putting car on ramps and crawling underneath it looks wet between the head and block at rear of engine. New alum. heads were installed this last winter and torqued to specs. This is on both heads but passenger side is worse. My worst thought is a gasket leak where the oil returns from the valve train to the rocker valley or could oil be splashing up to back of intake and leaking out intake valley seal?? Has anyone experienced this problem? Any suggestions, ideas would be most appreated.

Get the kit where you put floursecent dye into the oil. It shows up under a black light.

Maybe the rear main seal, or the rear intake seal

Sure it's not the valve covers? I've had a leak or two from valve covers that were very hard to pinpoint as sometimes it just runs down the back of the engine where you can't easily see it... Just a thought.

Me too! I had used rubber gaskets. Changed to cork and problem solved.

Sounds like the little "china" wall area on the rear of block between the heads where the intake manifold sits. Probably leaking at the corners because it wasn't sealed to the intake-to-head gasket correctly.

:D Here’s a good idea I heard recently but have not had the chance to try. Use a few cups of nice white flour spread around suspect area(s). Then a short trip around the block should provide results/location of leak. Just wash off when finished. Good luck zoomie.
