I have installed a 6 speed transmission in my 69 and when I went to put the body back on, I found a couple issues. My Hooker headers aim the exhaust to high to clear the floor.
I took caution in making sure I maintained the correct height, but now I am wondering if I have it right.
Could someone please but a straight edge across the bottom of the frame rails and tell me the height of the output shaft of the transmission.
The measurement you want is 3" on a 1981 auto. That's from a straight edge placed against the lower edge of the frame rails up to the shaft at the point it exits the rear seal on the tranny. Hope this helps.
