Re: original miles...hhhmmm? (JB)
I would think that by looking at the car you could tell rather it is 20,000 miles or 120.000 miles, unless it has been restored and then it is a different story anyways. My 78 has 913 original miles and you can tell because it still has the plastic on the steering wheel and shows no sign of wear at all, but this might be an extreme example. Also have a 57 Bel Air that has 27,xxx original miles and there is no way I can auctually prove it, but if a guy knows what to look for you can tell if it is bs or not. I would think that you can tell by the type of individual selling the car and by its looks.

What does it matter if most everything is new :D
If it runs great, doesnt squeek rattle or have enough bondo on one side to cause the ride hight to change...
You cant go by the odometer... how many of you guys go by it when getting gas... prolly not many! More a watch the marker on the side of the highway deal right! :jester

Mine was a barn car, which I documented through state department of transportation files and state inspection logs so i know the milage on it was and is trueful. But i would be inclined to think that many of these cars have or were stored on a long term basis. Some do have low milage and some were rolled back to make them more saleable.
