Thanks Ed, but I just jacked the car up and found that my exhaust has to be dropped in order to get to two of the spring mounting bolts. :cry
I think I will take it to the shop to have them do the R/R of the rear spring.
I don't want to have to F with the exhaust situation, alot of the nuts and bolts are pretty rusted. I'm sure the neighborhood does not want to here alot of swearing on such a beautiful day.

Re: Rear spring removal question. (Pacin'California)
You can't get at em from the side with an open end wrench?
That's what I had to do. Then I found out I could move the exhaust right around the differential crossmember by loosening it up a little. Go figure!

open end wont work, bolt heads are sunken within the mounting plate.
May just loosen exhaust at rear and move it over.
:yesnod:
Just finished replacing mine. It will slide out no problem with exhaust still intacted. Word of advise though .......Do not over torque the bolts when installed the new spring as the diff cover WILL crack. Trust me it happened.
Ed T and Pacin' California, you guys were right. I loosened the bolts holding the exhaust in the rear, had enough room to get to rear spring mounting bolts. Also, after removing the heat shield I was able to get the open end wrench on the bolts. Luckily only one of the bolts was a b*tch to get off, even after soaking over night. The other three bolts came of fairly easily.
Only took me 2 1/2 hours to jack car up and remove spring.
I'm going to eat lunch while the paint on the rear spring mounting plate is drying and then back to the installation portion. Thanks guys for your suggestions, they really helped and they saved me money!

Yeah, it happened to me; I have pics and some weird paper weights to prove... :jester Only torque those bolts to 70 ft-lb (or whatever your service manual calls for) whith the car on the ground!
Spring is in! Thanks for your guys assistance. I can't believe I did all the actual work all by myself with no power tools. The back of the car is not sagging anymore and there is only about 2 inches in between tire and fender
using the 8 inch bolts. The body is pretty much level front to back.
Without the CF assistance I probably would have sent the work out.
By doing it myself I saved money, to buy other mods. I love it!
