Default Electronic Choke Question.

I am restoring a 1982 Corvette and some time in the past the previous owner replaced the TBI with a Rochester Carb - 17083204. This has an electric choke, but it was not hooked up to anything, and I do not have a clue where it goes. Does anyone know where I should hook this up, or should I try and find a Therostatic/hot air choke. If this is the case, does anyone know where I can find one? I am having trouble finding this as well.

Thanks in Asvance,
CM

The electric choke will work fine for most uses. It should be connected to a 12 volt wire that is only hot when the ignition is on. I used the heater blower wire to tap off of.
If you are going to use a hot air choke you'll have to have a manifold that has provisions for the hot air tube. It's an odd retangle shape on the right side of the manifold at about the #6 cylinder.

Your windshield wiper motor is another good power supply - hot only when the key is on.

One other source that is close on the manifold is the line to the solenoid on the carb. Hot only when ignition is on.
