C3 wheel and tire sizes
Hi guys, I've been away from Vettes for a little while but I just bought a 76 coupe that I plan on building and having fun with.
My question is, what size tires and wheels will fit on the 76? I'd like to go to 17" or 18" with low profile tires.

Lot of guys have put 17" wheels, think 18" may look like Superfly's ride. Hang tight, they will answer or you can do a search on wheels.

Rims are American Racing CL205, size 17x8 with 4" BS. Tires are Bridgestone Potenza RE730 255/50ZR17.

Thanks guys, that's the look I'm going for.
I've owned 4 Vettes in the past. a 79 coupe a 68 coupe an 84 and my last one i sold last September was a 96 Grand Sport. I did buy a 98 Viper after the Grand Sport hence my user name.
I bought a 76 coupe fixer upper and plan on doing some major mods on it, mostly performance wise and paint so I'll probably be posting a lot more.
I still love Vettes and couldn't stay away from them and it's good to be back on the forum.
