I've got 325/50/15 drag radials, but I also have flares. I've got them mounted on 10" AR Torq Thrust D's.

Whether something bites or not is a function of how bad the motor is and what stall the TC has.:)
You might also be overlooking tire contact patch. A larger diameter tire like the 28 inch 275 with 8.8 width might have more rubber on the ground than a wider smaller diameter tire. That's why they make 32 & 33 inch diameter slicks. To get the biggest foot print.
Your only other consideration when buying tire diameters is your gearing. :auto:
