Battery ?
I need a new battery for my 1971 / 454.
I can't read the specs on the old one.
Can anyone tell me what CCA number I should pick? How many Amps?
Does anyone have advices about battery specifications and brands?

I have had good luck with Duralast batteries from autozone. 2yr free replacement/ 7 yr prorated.
I have had several fairly new Delco's leak out of the post with in 2 years.

I have had 2 Diehards in 10 years. Considering how little use it gets they seem to hold up well. I usually get one when they go on sale. Just get the one that is for your car. Unless you have really high compression you should be OK with any good name brand battery. Stay away from the bargain batteries. They don't seem to last to long.
