OD: Got My 5 Speed
Well, I finally got it installed. I had to have a little help getting the input spline lined up with the clutch. Other than that, it was all me by myself. Sometimes it must have looked like a monkey and a football. I had to modify my exhaust hanger. No biggie, just time consuming. Made the backup light harness. Again, no biggie. Run back and forth to town a few time for this and that. Now that it is in and running, I have put about 30 miles on it so far. Let me say, it will make your car fly. In 5 gear it will roll on out. The shift feel is nice and tight. Close spacing between gears is taking me some getting used to, after all a 30+ year old muncie shifts a lot different. I am tickled with it. If you have any questions please ask, as I did the whole install by myself and Did not cut my crossmember. I did follow their directions step by step so as not to miss anything. I would probably rearrange a few steps but it still worked for me. Now for the best part IMO......

Woo hoo!! What's that? About 78mph at 2,000? Wow! That's 195 at 5 grand! ;)
What's your rear end ratio?
I am just a little skeptical about that speed as of yet. I am gonna get the wife to pace me and see how close it actually is. I am running a 3:36 rear ratio with 255/60/15 tires. Hmmm....
I am running 3.08 and at 70 I am turning 1900, 80 2200. For the tremec it is easy to change the speedometer gear. Just slide the old one out, count the teeth and go to the ford dealer and get another one. I keep everything from 16 teeth up to 22 or 23. They are cheap.
 Congrats on your install, now it's time for a road trip to break that baby in :D . This is a great upgrade for anyone that's considering it :smash:
Congrats, Eddie. You are the first one I've heard of to install an OD without cutting the xmember. This is going to be my next major mod, hopefully next year. When you say exhaust hanger, what exactly are you referring to?

Re: OD: Got My 5 Speed (Brettmc)
Brett, I am referring to the bracket that is under the tranny at the crossmember. This bracket keeps the exhaust from rattling against the crossmember. It mounts to the bottom of the tranny and keeps the exhaust centered in the openings. This pic is from the ZIP catalog.
