Well, winter kind of surprised me today in Minnesota. :withstupid: There is freezing rain, and slush on the road. So, needless to say, they are out spreading sand and salt.
I did get the oil changed in my car last weekend, but did not top off the fuel tank. Am I ok to just add Stabil to the 1/4 to 1/2 tank of gas I have..Or should I wait for this snow to melt and make a break for the gas station (risking throwing sand and salt on my car)?
I know the whole "theory" with a full tank is that it prevents condensation in the tank. Doesn't Stabil also work to elminate mosture, helping the problem?
I dont usually have a full tank over winter. Usually 1/2 tank and Stabil. If your worried about this, have some heat thrown in once spring time comes around as this is supposed to displace any water you have accumulated.
