I drive a 2002 S-10 but up till that I drove old beaters and enjoyed keeping them running. Part of the reason I like the 78 Vette is I work in a office and the vette alows me to do something I can look at after and feel good about completeing something other than pushing papers.
98 F150 - company truck. 132,000 miles on it, but, it is a very nice truck. Pretty much has everything but leather. Not sure why the boss bought it loaded up like it is, but, I inherited it when I took the position with the company and I do enjoy it althought the mileage is not very good. I pay for the gas and tires and he takes care of everything else. I am an Office Manager so the truck is just a "driver" for me as I don't have to haul any company related items with it.
1983 Chevy K10 diesel with 220,000 miles - the thing just refuses to die.
1994 Chevy Suburban with 181,000 miles - Got it last month from one of my lawn clients who got waaay behind in her payments for lawn care. Wrote off $500 and gave her $1000 cash. And I didn't even use a pistol & mask!
2002 Monte Carlo SS Limited Edition (NASCAR-style options) for daily driver.
ALL my cars are Chevy. 1972 and 1998 Vette. No way I would drive DAILY in a Vette. You are just asking for some guy to plow into you with no insurance.
1972 will end up being unstreetable anyway. 1998 may be traded in soon (on another Vette).
My plan was to use my 96Z28 as the daily driver and drive the vette occasionally. Turned out I always drove the vette and had to force myself to drive the Z28 every few weeks to keep the battery charged. Finally sold it earlier this year. Still have a 83 Caddy DeVille as backup, but it mostly sits. What can I say? I like driving the vette. With the 5-speed, and EFI'd 454 it's pretty much all I ever wanted. Why drive anything else? :)
Mine is a 1998 ZR2 Blazer- Black with Herculiner from halfway down the door (at the body line) over the rocker panels to stop the rock chips thrown from the 31inch BFG All-Terrain tires.
Its got power everyting and a sunroof and makes a great DD. It tows my snowmobiles out to the trails since I live in the city.
WOW Lasse, do you have any other new shots of your 72. The coloring is great in that photo!!!
