Can anyone suggest a place that does solid work on porting heads? I have a set of 190 AFR heads that flow about 270 cfm's, I want them to flow over 300 if possible.
Your better off selling yours. The cost isn't worth it. To attain 300 cfm is generally done with 210 - 230 cc intakes with 2.08/160 valves. The AFR 210 cc requires the Competition porting job with the large valves. The Dart 227 and AFR 227 exceed 300 cfm intakes.
My AFR 210's with all the bells and whistles comp porting flat milled to 64 cc roller cam springs.............. Cost about $2200. I won't ever buy AFR again!:(
I would price out Dart 227 with 2.10/1.6 or even see what Brodix has to offer. I've been told that the Track 1X can be purchased with up to 2.15 intakes although that set requires shaft rockers which is $5-700 more in cost over a good set of steel roller rockers 7/16th ARP studs and Crane stud girdle.

Re: porting heads (bhmyers)
Boy does George hate AFR
If you decide to get your heads done I was very happy with the guy who did mine Bob McKray in Mission Veijo Ca (949 458 7087). He got over 322 cfm out of my oval Edelbrocks (with great mid lift numbers) and was VERY reasonably priced.
You may want to ask about having the springs cyrogenically frozen as well. A lot of guys in the know think spring life can be tripled for the cost of about 2 bucks per spring.
