First I painted it with rust bullet( for rust protection) then I purchase Marhyde Black satin and NAPA and srayed 2 quarts onto it. This isn't the toughest paint but the colour is exactly what I wanted. They also have it in spray bombs to do quick repairs.
In total the Rust bullet cost $90us for 4 quarts( only used 2) and $68CA for 2 quarts of the marhyde black satin.
The frame looks amazing and will be easy to repair anything on it because I can get a spray bomb to match.
John Deere Blitz Black is close to the original GM underhood paint. It takes a lot of abuse on tractors and is pretty tough. Finishes as a low gloss, satin tone.
I used East Wood epoxt paint. You could hit it with a hammer and it wont chip off. They also have a great rust protection product that you just paint over the rust and they rust is gone. go to eastwoodco.com and check it out.
