Default Engine compartment paint

Could someone tell me if the engine compartment; i.e., firewall, inner fenders, radiator support, inside of hood, and stock breather should be satin black or semi-gloss to be factory correct on a 73 ???

I don't know the answer for a 1973. You might obtain a Corvette Technical Information Manual & Judging Guide for your year Corvette from the NCRS, the NCRS manual would have the information you are seeking.

firewall, inner fenders, if your hood doesn't have insulation, should be semi-gloss....Krylon semi gloss, John Deere Blitz Black, Rust-o-leum semi gloss are all the same and right on the money.
