Default 70 alt mount w/header question

Guys< It's get6ting close to when I'll be able to drop the motor in. I've got about 2 more weeks of sanding and finish detailing on the engine compartment.

I need to know what type of alt brakets I'll need to remount the alt since i'll not be using the original rams horns?

Can someone point me in the right direction on where to get them, and what brackets I'll need to purchase?

If I'm not mistaken, I'll need a new lower mount, and a new slider, is this right?

Would prefer chrome, but finishs can be different.

Thanks again.

I don't have the brackets that you need, but I do need the brackets that do attach to the manifold. Do you still have your old brackets? If you please let me know. Thanks :chevy :chevy

I have a 71 I went and used the 72 or 73 were the bracket only mounts to the heads in the front works great.

Yep got them all, I will be selling them once it's together, and I know I won't need any of the old parts.

I planned on selling off everything not needed to include the following:

Rams horns, heat riser, alt brackets, complete working vaccumn systems for the headlights, complete working wiper door assy (top vent, vaccumn stuff, mounts etc.), one good spindle (with backing plate bolt stuck in it), Heater blower housing(motor bad), and what ever is left in the boxes when I'm finished!! :)

I'm glad these work, I thought may be they would, but wanted to check first. Thanks again.

Long ago when I installed my headers, I used the aluminum bracket from an '82 to mount the alternator. It bolts the front of the left head and works fine. Looks kind of nice too.
Best of luck. :steering:
