I have a 1976 4 spedd and am looking to find a new radiator. Ecklers has shipped be two,(both damaged) on arrival and they are both for automatic trans, na dmine is a 4 spd. I was paying Ecklers $227 for a replacement radiator. Does anyone know where I can get the correct radiator at a reasonable price, or should I just get the original one re cored.
Looking for some advice on this.
Check with DeWitt's, they have about the best product at the most reasonable price. Just remember quality isn't cheap. Having said that I purchased one of their new cores for my 1973 and used my end tanks. I ended up with a like new radiator for less than one of the reproductions made offshore.
My radiator was new from Chevrolet in 1991. Unfortunately while it still looked new inside with about 10k miles on it, the fins would fall off with just a blast of air. I guess three years in Hawaii took its' toll. I tried buying a new Harrison 4-speed radiator from Zip, but they are no longer available. Zip was great about refunding my money and I called DeWitt. They only have aftermarket aluminum radiators for my car, but do have brand new radiator cores for it. Their aluminum radiators are superb as well and their prices are very competitive, but I wanted to remain stock so I used their new core with my end tanks.
