Default EVIL post!: :reddevil:

:reddevil::reddevil::reddevil::reddevil: :reddevil::reddevil:

UH-OH...better keep on posting right past this one...1000 here I come!
(and I will note that I try to make all my posts useful, NO off topic of free posts).

As this is my evil note, my evil 406 decided to eat a couple belts today!
Was spinning the skins up a small hill at 6500rpm, made it to the top and kept driving until it felt like my steering wheel locked, looked at my ammeter and it was discharging :o... Pulled over and my PS and Alt belt were laying on the crossmember in front of the motor...
Picked them up and drove home smiling :D:yesnod:

I am glad I got the adjustable Team-G waterpump and decided to use my AC belt groove in the pulley to run a stand alone belt from crank to waterpump!
Saved my butt today!

Travis

Not sure how it is SPAM as I am not soliciting anything...

As to why its there I would have to say because I care.
This is the 2nd motor I've built, and its a hobby I thoroughly enjoy!
I can also assume other people care because I have received private emails asking for assistance on a buildup of a 406 and I GLADLY try to help how I can because that SHOULD be the nature of this hobby.

I don't exactly know why you insist on adding no value to any topic of discussion. I think the forum is a resource for many reasons, not the least being helpful people willing to share whatever information they may have to help other people who enjoy these cars. If you can't at least do that your not really part of the good thing this forum has become.

It's SPAM because it's free advertising and endorsement for products or services. All that crap at the bottom is more self-serving than anything else.
"Gee...lookit me...I got all this cool ****" Some folks are content to just put "small block Chevy"...others feel compelled to give a complete laundry list of every nut and bolt they spent money on (or didn't and SAID they did).
SPAM! :spam = Tasteless junk that nobody likes or cares about.

I know your dislike for reason so I will graciously accept that you are entitled to your opinion and leave it at that. Although I will explain further how it can be helpful, follow along if you will.

There is a good bit of interest on the forum concerning such things as:

CD ignition conversion (how does xxx work)
Aluminum radiator conversions (what fits)
Electric Fans conversions (what works)
Header Installs (what fits, how is quality)
Torque converter suggestions (is this too high/low)
Which cylinder heads are best (what's your opinion)

The point is that there is a LARGE amount of people interested in aftermarket parts for these cars, and how to adapt them to work without a lot of hassle.

A person who may go through my signature may see that I am using something they would like, but aren't quite sure what to get, or how to do it, or frankly: how it works! I know I have done this quite a bit, not all of us are infused with an abundance of knowledge to the point that we don't need to ask questions. Other people's signatures have led me to contact them requesting further information about what they have done. Almost all these contacts have been very helpful, I just try to return the favor.

Etiquette should apply to the real world, as well as our niche online.
Practice makes perfect Dep, in all respect.

Redshark6974 I'm glad someone sees it in a similar manner. :yesnod: I think I've said it before, but AWESOME '74! I will continue to try to convince myself that I like the coupe better than the vert!

Mike C: HA! I can't fool you :D

VETDRMS: Okay...Mike C "outed" me. I was just yankin your chain to see if I could get some points deducted. I know...I'm f****** weird.
I got no problem with your laundry list of doodads. If it really bothered me I'd just disable signatures. I already have all those bull**** pictures people post disabled because it takes forever to load up a thread.

Dep...resumes his search for less points

Dep is just trying to get his rating knocked down so he'll look like one of the "Bad Boys" in OT. He's probably hoping you'll turn him in to a moderator so he'll loose a few points. I think it's funny.

Dep If anything, I enjoyed foray. :yesnod: I just do not believe the intentions of the forum (specificially the C3 section) support your desire to stand out in such a manner. To each their own.

I DO expect a list of "doodads" on that Aluminum 427 your building...

Dep I can understand the resentment of "needing" to have a holding hand to cross the street and all. This world is WAY to "sensitive." I hope I didn't come across as one of the zealots.
