Al and I went on that run to rescue Rainman69's quarter panel. He's a great guy and I hope he is OK. God bless him and his family.

Al helped me and a friend inspect a Vette we eventually drove to Atlanta to get. He had to work that night, so we didn't get to meet face to face, but he has always been great to talk with. As a matter of fact, I still owe him some beer. Hopefully, he will be able to take delivery in the near future.
To anyone that doesn't like this post, I think you are forgetting that this forum is not just about cars. Any of our cars can be replaced, but guys like Al are few and far between.

UPDATE 12/3
Yep, our ol buddy Al is doing quite a bit better. His gf tells me his trech tube is out and he is able to talk. (no smack yet )
He is starting his rehab, this will be a slow process. Other than that, his spirits are good.
I will post more when I get the info. In the meantime, you can still send cards and whatnot to my address. I am putting a pack together to send this week. For those of you who sent a card to me, thank you! I know Al will appreciate the good thoughts.

Wishing him all the best. I've been away from the forum for awhile and didn't catch this. Sounds very fortunate to survive and am happy to see he's making positive progress, but he's got a long road ahead. All the best to him and his family.
