Desi couldn't agree with you more
we are all children of someone the parents and family don't need all that grief
hate to see anyone die no matter what the cause
we are all (yes even speeders and C3 owners) children of God

That area of Dallas is prone to those kind of drivers.....still sad that someone lost their life. We all make mistakes, even stupid ones, but loss of life should not be the end result. :nonod:
It gives me a lot of confidence in the safety of these cars though. Along with that other crashed C3 story a few months ago, it seems really hard to actually die in these cars. I wouldn't have thought that anyone could survive hitting a semi at over 130 mph (closing speed) in any car. And these people weren't even wearing seatbelts.
Sad story.
Hey at least the kid had good taste in cars. I'd rather die going all out in a Corvette on a racetrack than be killed by say a stray bullet from a gang shooting (weird example). I'm not lying when I say I dont speed on the highway, I cant afford a second ticket. I would be lying if I said I didn't want to at times though.
You have to feel bad for both the trucker and the kids in the vette. Even though it wasnt his fault, the trucker must be feeling horrible.
There's a video on the website and the reporter said the two were brothers, and that the driver is the one who died. Neighbors talked about how he recently got the car and that his dad helped him work on it. It ended with a statement that they would be talking to an eye-witness for the 5pm broadcast, in which she said, from what she saw, makes her fear for her life. It'll be interesting to hear what that witness has to say.
Sorry folks, not going to see any sympathy from me.
The whole story is that they were speeding - a lot - and weaving in and out of traffic. They then lost control of their car, crossed over and met Mr. Semi truck.
All I can say is that I am very glad that they met a semi and not a family in a mini-van. As for the driver of the C3, I hope he's the dead one - serves him right. If you drive like an azz, I hope you die like an azz and not take anyone else with you along the way.
:iagree:
DumbaZZes will die earlier-its just a fact. The world is a crowded place. All you can hope is that they dont take someone innocent with em'.

I wonder how you'd feel if they had killed your wife and children? Only by the grace of god did they not smash into a school bus or something equally as horrible. I can only hope they didnt have time to breed. I'm getting hard assed as I get older. Sorry if it offends.

I can personally attest to the crash worthyness of these C3's.
That is a sad tale. I see alot of weaving around where I live. Kids hauling azz and not paying attention to anybody while they imitate Hollywood stunt drivers. Too bad when innocent folks pay the price for the stupidity and immaturity of others.
